Innovation Award EuroTier 2026: Vilofoss wins silver for In-Force S®

Vilofoss has been awarded a silver medal in the Innovation Award EuroTier 2026 for In-Force S, a nutritional solution developed to provide practical digestive support for piglets during demanding nursery periods.

The nursery period can place considerable pressure on piglets. Weaning combines several challenges at the same time, including changes in diet, mixing and stress, which can affect feed intake, growth and feed efficiency.

In-Force S has been developed to strengthen the nutritional side of the nursery programme by supporting digestive robustness during these demanding periods.

“We are very proud that In-Force S has received a silver medal at EuroTier 2026. The product was developed with a clear focus on the practical challenges producers face during the nursery period, and this recognition is an important milestone for everyone involved in its development,” says Álvaro Ortiz García, Global Product Manager Monogastrics at Vilofoss.

Practical digestive support during the nursery period

In-Force S combines four complementary elements in one balanced solution: stabilised Black Soldier Fly oil, naturally rich in lauric acid, hops, essential oils and a free-flowing powder technology.

The solution is designed to support a more stable digestive environment, help maintain gut barrier resilience during periods of stress and provide nutritional support for nursery performance.

Its powder format also allows In-Force S to fit into existing feed-production systems. It can be included in piglet feed, premixes, concentrates or farm feed.

Supported by trial observations

In a Danish trial, piglets receiving In-Force S showed improvements in growth and feed efficiency over the 42-day trial period:

Performance Indicator  Control  In-Force S  Difference
Body weight at day 42  21.42 kg  22.04 kg  +0.62 kg
 Average daily gain (0–42 days)  366 g/day  382 g/day  +16 g/day
 Feed conversion ratio (FCR)  1.49  1.44  −3.4%

In addition, a three-month trial under commercial conditions included a total of 44,821 piglets. Of these, 20,674 received In-Force S, while 24,147 received monolaurin. The In-Force S group showed higher average daily gain and feed intake, while maintaining the same feed conversion ratio.

Together, the results demonstrate the potential of In-Force S as a practical nutritional tool within nursery feeding programmes.

Silver recognition at EuroTier 2026 Silver medal EuroTier 2026

The silver medal for In-Force S recognises the work behind a solution developed around a clear objective: supporting the gut during the period where nursery challenges can escalate.

For Vilofoss, the award is also recognition of the continued focus on developing nutritional solutions that combine biological relevance with practical application in everyday feed programmes.
